I am Julia Howard: Mormon, midwife, and lover of mangoes.
I love funky socks and sloths. I've worn an anaconda like a scarf. I've bathed at the top of a waterfall, been stung by a jelly fish, and testified of Jesus Christ in Portuguese to a room full of Brazilians (I don't speak Portuguese).
I'm blessed to be able to say that I've done those things. I love the world, I've loved my travels, I'm excited for the adventures to come, but the truth is this: I'm actually pretty normal.
I'm from a small industrial city on the East End of Houston. Between my travel opportunities I live at home with my 7 family members, read about childbirth and work as a nanny. I find joy in Sunday dinner and my favorite person to talk to is Mom.
I believe the best adventures are found at home, and home is my favorite place to be.
And here I am, keeping a travel blog.
